Welcome to Life in Scale! I'm Mike Hollimon, and I've been building and collecting diecast models since 1987. Born and raised in Georgia, my love for cars, especially Ford Mustangs, comes from my father, who is Ford Blue through and through. Growing up in Ringgold, Georgia, I was fascinated by Sheriff J.D. Stewart's use of Trans Ams and later, the Georgia State Patrol's SSP Mustangs. These experiences ignited my passion for police cars and solidified my love for Mustangs.
Building and collecting diecast models is more than just a hobby for me; it's a lifelong passion. I take pride in creating high-quality replicas using the best products available. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of meeting many incredible people in this hobby. From fellow builders who share my enthusiasm and attention to detail, to photographers who capture the beauty of our creations, these friendships have enriched my experience and inspired me to keep pushing the boundaries of my craft.
Currently, I live in Flowery Branch, Georgia, a place that provides a peaceful and supportive environment for my work and family. When I'm not working on my models, you can find me umpiring high school baseball, bringing the same dedication and precision to the field as I do to my models. Alongside my passion for diecast models, I am a state employee and serve as a Facilities Director, balancing my professional responsibilities with my hobbies. I’m fortunate to have a beautiful, supportive wife and four wonderful children who encourage me every step of the way.
Thank you for visiting Life in Scale. Here, every model tells a story of passion, precision, and a deep love for cars and the community that surrounds them. I hope you enjoy the page!
